Internet marketing , video marketing and search engine strategies without all the hype!

TIP #1 : Use a storyboard approach

Nobody enjoys listening to someone rabbit on while jumping from one topic to another. If you can begin your video with a problem the user can relate to then lead them through the process of solving it, the only thing left is to provide them a link to purchase…

TIP #2 : Keep it short (2-4 minutes max)

Don’t try to make a 30 second commercial, people will instinctively think they’re watching a TV ad. Instead, make your video about a personal experience or professional opinion that draws their attention in. Saying you enjoyed a product is better than selling it!

TIP #3 : Keep it moving as often as you can

Even if you choose to make your videos using PowerPoint, be sure to animate the page elements and transition between slides so that the attention span is constantly being reset. This way the viewer is less likely to click back or to another website!

TIP #4 : Copy the infomercial recipe

The infomercial industry is big business and they have spent large amounts of time and money refining the process to get results. You can replicate that process for your own product by using the AIDA formula or the problem-agitate-solution method.

TIP #5 : Optimise your video pages

Make sure that your main keywords are listed in the text content beside your video listing and link to it from other video pages. Be sure to have a link to your sales page or website if using video hosting sites like YouTube.

TIP #6 : Leverage your time with tools

Don’t just upload one video to YouTube, sign up for a free Tube Mogul account and have your video automatically distributed to dozens of websites at once. Then cut a different version of your video that is shorter and then upload that… repeat each week or month!
